Living in Southern California is all about road trips. Drive a couple hours in any direction and you will find interesting characters, breathtaking scenery, and of course, new stores to shop! This weekend I am headed South to San Diego.
My best friend Kristina recently purchased a condo in Little Italy and has asked me to help her fill it up. Others may find the act of shopping for someone else incredibly boring and not satisfying. However, I enjoy shopping for others and helping them with their vision. We pocketed a couple of San Diego Shopper's Maps as our guide and plan on hitting as many stores as possible this weekend. Although the plan is to mostly shop for her new home we are going to take a quick peak inside Akia Vintage to find some casual vintage threads. We hear this charming boutique has high quality women's and men's vintage clothing and accessories like vintage western shirts and cute vintage dresses.
Kristina is also getting married at the end of May this year and she still needs some accessories to add to her wedding look. I suggested we drive a bit east and stop by Sparrow Bridal Boutique to find those finishing touches to her outfit. Sparrow Bridal carries vintage and consignment designer bridal gowns, vintage jewelry, and bridal accessories.
For great deals on furniture and home decor we will swing by the multi-dealer Antique Village in San Marcos where we can walk around over 10,000 square feet and find antique furniture, lighting, home accessories, and a garden decor center.
You can find these stores and many more on the San Diego Shopper's Map.
